Dear competitors, we have several updates we would like to share with you. At the same time, we wanted to remind you that you can follow us on Facebook and Instagram, and we are also launching a championship channel on the WPF Discord.
1. Hotel Sorea Regia is fully booked: We would like to thank everyone for their cooperation; we truly appreciate those who chose alternative accommodation, helping us manage the capacity. If you have changed your mind and prefer to stay elsewhere, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to other interested participants.
2. Competition hall capacity: Spots in the competition hall are still available, which means you can register, but please arrange your accommodation outside the main competition hotel. If you need assistance with this, let us know—we are happy to provide advice and guidance.
3. 24 HPC update: Our Hungarian friends informed us that the 24-Hour Puzzle Championship, which was originally supposed to follow the ESC, will not take place this year. This means that if you are interested in staying in Bratislava on Saturday evening for some socializing, we would love to spend more time with you. If you don't have to travel immediately, you can book extra nights at the hotel, and we can reserve tables at a local bar or restaurant, organize a city walk, or visit an escape room together.
4. Participants lists: We are beginning to publish the lists of competitors and teams. Please check your team details on the website and let us know if anything is incorrect.
5. Going green: In an effort to be more eco-friendly, we will not be printing paper versions of the instruction booklets. Upon registration, you will only receive a list of puzzles and point values for each round. We strongly recommend bringing your own printed copy, as tablets and mobile phones will not be permitted during the competition.
6. Q&A session: There will be no formal Q&A hour this time. Instead, all your questions will be answered via Discord. Please ensure that at least one member of your team has access to the channel. Any changes or clarifications to the instruction booklet will be posted on the website shortly before the competition and announced before the first round on Friday morning.
